What is Integrated Marketing Communications?
The American Marketing Association defines Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) as “a planning process designed to assure that all brand contacts received by a customer or prospect for a product, service, or organization are relevant to that person and consistent over time.”
Simply put, a message is developed for your brand, company, organization or you as an individual and that message is repeated consistently. That message is the missing piece in your puzzle of success. While the delivery may change the message remains the same.
We are a boutique communications firm with specialties in sports, entertainment, small businesses and non-profit organizations. Ignite! has managed several PR/Marketing campaigns and projects ranging from NFL players Nate Washington and Damian Williams, Country Artist Danielle Peck, Gospel Superstars Kirk Franklin and Tye Tribbett to nonprofit organizations such as The United Methodist Church, Mount Zion Nashville/ Full Gospel Church Conference and The Salvation Army.

Co-Owner and Chief Public Relations StrategistPrior to the creation of Ignite!, Martin built a career creating and managing marketing & publicity campaigns, communications and special events for midsize and large organizations, in the fields of publishing, religious, healthcare, and public affairs. Kaneesha has been invited to speak or conducted workshops for several local, regional and national organizations including Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Black Girls Run, and Middle Tennessee State University School of Business. Kaneesha holds a Master of Education in Marketing and Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration degrees, both from Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She is a member of National Association of Black Journalists, Bootstraps Foundation, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and American Society of Training and Development.
Co-owner and Chief Integrated Marketing StrategistAs an accomplished marketing professional, Jason has served in marketing and management roles for 8 years, achieving and exceeding goals. He has created marketing plans for multi-million dollar product lines and he has provided guidance and strategic direction on an executive level. Previous employers include The Salvation Army in Nashville, TN where he served as Director of Marketing, United Methodist Communications, the global communications agency for the United Methodist Church where he worked as Marketing Coordinator managing 13 accounts for clients in the U.S. and Africa and the United Methodist Publishing House, which is home to the Christian retailer Cokesbury where he served as Marketing Manager for their vacation bible school and children’s Sunday School curriculum. Jason is also a hybrid entrepreneur, working in his position at Ignite! with his wife Kaneesha and as Marketing Specialist for Delta Dental of Tennessee. Jason holds a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Recording Industry Management from Middle Tennessee State University and is a member of the American Marketing Association.
